Excel

Excel is a built-in data source that establishes a worksheet as the source of data for a report.  The entire worksheet's data minus the rows specified in the Skip Top Rows setting wiill be used as the source of the data.



File 

Enter the full path to the file that contains the data. Click the This File button or double-click on This File in the Variables Panel to set the current file.

Default value (if left blank): this field must be populated since it is mandatory
Allowable Values: The full path to an existing file or a variable that represents the full path to an existing file.


File Password

If applicable, enter the password required to open (read) the file.

Default value (if left blank): blank (no password)
Allowable Values: password to open the file specified in the File setting.


Worksheet

Click on the button and choose the worksheet that contains the data for the report.

Default value (if left blank): this field must be populated since it is mandatory
Allowable Values: the name of a worksheet in the file specified in the File setting.


Skip Top Rows

Text specified here will be placed in the center section of the report's header.

Default value (if left blank): 0
Allowable Values: integer (0-65534)


View File

This button opens the file specified in the File setting.
